“In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDxExeter is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.”
The TEDxExeter team provided the speaker photos and biogs, and we designed and developed the site. We used categories and tags extensively – speaker, theme, etc – to enable visitors to find talks and other material of interest. We also blogged in advance on the theme of each event and live-blogged each talk during the events. Later we added the “Let’s Explore…” resource, packaging content on different themes for use in schools.
Really nice website, really nice website, very clean and clear
I had a look at the [Let’s Explore…] website pages – it looks fantastic. What a great resource.

We managed and contributed to the TEDxExeter website and blog between 2012 and 2016. The website was redeveloped a few years later, but the old site can still be viewed on the Wayback Machine internet archive. The TEDxExeter team is currently taking a break from live events.
