Host Abingdon is “a group of volunteers and supporters who welcome refugees and asylum seekers to Abingdon with practical support, social events, English classes, and signposting to local services.”
The client provided the content and we developed the site, including a newsletter sign-up form integrating with their Mailchimp account. Given a new colour scheme, we also redesigned a set of logos and donate buttons or icons, for use across promotional materials as well as on the website.
Host Abingdon was in need of a complete overhaul of its website and Clare of Websites Ahoy was the perfect person for the job. She quickly grasped the purpose, ethos and scale of our work and helped us to think about our audiences and the best layout and functionality of the new website. We really liked the design and the small touches that she created, such as our ‘Donate Now’ button, to make our site unique to us. She was great to work with, giving clear and timely communications that kept the project on track. She has a brilliant combination of technical expertise, creativity and communication skills to make the process thoroughly enjoyable and we are really happy with the result. Great value for money too which is important for not-for-profit organisations.
